The Hoobies are in the process of planning for a Gin Rummy (Gin) Tournament.  It will actually be two different tournaments with one being individual and the other being a doubles tournament (2 man teams).  The first tournament will be held by April 10 and the second will be in September or October.  The survey below will help to determine the interest of the membership and give some basic guidelines.  We are planning on having the tournament for Hoobies (& their wives or significant others).  Please complete the survey below and submit to us so your opinion will count.

(Press RESET at bottom of page should you wish to change prior to submitting)

Name:

1.    Will you play in the Doubles Gin Tournament if held before December 15, 2007?:            Yes            No

2.    Which of the following do you prefer:   Double Elimination  (Winner stays in winning bracket, loser moves to other bracket)

               (One Selection Only)                       Single Elimination

                                                                          Points System            (Every one plays everyone else) *see note below

(In the Point System matches, every player plays every other player with the winner receiving 1 point and loser 0 points; the total points each player had received would determine the winner, second and third)   The early games in this type of tournament could be played over several days (or weeks) with the participants setting their own day and time to play.  The final day of play would be with the entire group.  The winner would notify the Dwayne Crank (Chairman) as to who won and who lost so the points could be added to each player.  Dwayne would notify the players periodically by email as to the standings so everyone would know who was leading as the play was taking place.  The standings could also be placed on the website if the group so desired.)

3.   Should the  "Prize Distribution" be approximately 80% to 90% of the value of the total entry fees, what do you feel the entry fee should be?

                                                                                                                                                                           $ 0 - $20

                                                                                                                                                                            $21 - $50

                                                                                                                                                                            $ 51 - $100

4.    Do you object to 10% to 20% of entry fee being used for expenses (Cards, Refreshments, etc.)? Select One

5.    If we have limited interest from the Hoobies, would you agree to open the tournament to:

        Other Members of the Pines

        Any Invited Guest of a Hoobie      (Not including wives or significant others who are already included)

        Hoobies Only                                  (Wives or significant others are included)
