Memorial Day Tournament 2010 Wrap-up

It is final! The teams are all in and we have a winner(s) for our 2010 Memorial Day Tournament.

There were 3 teams tied at minus 12 or 60 and the owners got together and agreed to share the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place money instead of having to go back on the course for a play-off...each team therefore received $3,060.00 for their part of the winnings. The 3 teams were: Team Mascitti, Team Wells, and Team Meadows.

There was a tie for 4th place with Team McDowell and Team Chappell. The owners again decided to split the money in lieu of a play-off. Each team received $510.00.

6th place went to Team Payne

7th place went to Team Summerour

8th place went to Team Moody

9th place went to Team Waterfield

Closest to the pin winners were:

Ladies (Holes 3 & 16) went to Tracey Revell and Cheryl Newbold

Men (Holes 5 & 12) went to Boogie Nixon and Steve Fyffe

Everyone seemed to have had a good time, the weather certainly was great and the course was in fantastic condition. Things could not have been better for our tournament, and we really appreciate everyone who participated to make it a success.

Link at the bottom of this page is to a virtual tour of our condo in the Dominican Republic. Several Hoobies have asked where we stay when we go there. This link will ask if you wish to download or run the executable file. Answer yes if you wish to view the video... there is not a virus in the file. Great place to visit and great golf courses in the Dominican Republic (however, I do not take my clubs or play golf when we go down). This is a two bedroom unit but several units ( 2 and 3 bedrooms) are available in the building (Las Terrazas). The town is Sosua, Dominican Republic. Already planning my next trip down.
